Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Flight Instructor to lead primary and advance flight training and educate the next generation of pilots. This pivotal role involves managing a team of dedicated flight instructors, developing a cutting-edge training curriculum, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, and upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of flight instructors, ensuring consistent and high-quality instruction.
- Curriculum Development: Create, update, and maintain flight training curriculum and materials to meet FAA and industry standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all training operations comply with FAA regulations and promote a strong safety culture.
- Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide development opportunities for instructors.
- Student Success: Monitor student progress, conduct evaluations, and address concerns to support their development.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate records of student progress, instructor performance, and training activities.
- Operational Coordination: Oversee aircraft scheduling and maintenance to ensure safety and availability.
- Representation: Represent the flight school in meetings with regulatory authorities and industry organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Education, or a related field (preferred).
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate.
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) certificate.
- FAA Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate (preferred).
- FAA Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) authorization (a plus).
- Minimum of 1,500 hours of flight time with at least 500 hours of instruction given.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience (preferred).
