We are now in a phase of hyper-growth and are seeking a seasoned business operations executive to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping and scaling our business operations to support our expansion. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving operational efficiency, revenue growth, and profitability. As the Director of Sales, you will set a precedent for the entire team, lead by example, and play a key role in shaping the future success of our company.
Role Summary:
The Director of Sales will play a pivotal role in both building and scaling a robust sales team. The focus will be on expanding our services to new clients, upselling existing customers, and penetrating new markets throughout the U.S. This leader will work with the CEO to execute the sales strategy, vision, and goals of the organization. They will leverage their wide network of clients and industry connections to drive revenue growth through effective sales management, business development, and client relationship management. They will lead negotiations and contract discussions with key clients and partners, and stay updated on market trends, the competitive landscape, and client needs to ensure offerings remain relevant and competitive and ensure we stay market leaders in the staffing industry. They will collaborate with the operations team to optimize processes and ensure seamless service delivery, and work closely with the head of delivery to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded. This professional will recruit, develop, and retain top-tier sales and operational talent, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the sales team, and conducting performance evaluations and professional development plans. Finally, they will collaborate with the CEO and CFO to develop and manage the annual sales and revenue budget, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to improve profitability.
Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership and Business Development:
- Develop and execute the company’s sales strategy, vision, and goals in collaboration with the CEO and stakeholders.
- Drive revenue growth through effective sales management, business development, and client relationship management.
- Utilize your wide network of clients and industry connections to bring in new business opportunities.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions with key clients and partners.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to ensure our offerings remain relevant and competitive.
- Provide strategic guidance and insight to the sales team to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective strategies for revenue growth.
Team Building and Management:
- Recruit, develop, and retain a team of top-tier sales professionals to meet company goals.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation to provide customized solutions based on customer needs.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the sales team on an ongoing basis.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement professional development plans.
- We are looking for a hands-on leader that will be accessible to co-sell with their team.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering industry expertise and insights.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand and upsell services to existing clients.
Operational Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the operations, delivery, and back office to optimize processes and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Provide feedback and insights from the sales team to inform operational improvements.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
Financial Oversight:
- Collaborate with the CEO to develop and manage the annual sales and revenue budget.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze data, and provide regular reports to the CEO and stakeholders.
- Identify areas for cost optimization and implement strategies to improve profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven experience in sales leadership and revenue generation, preferably within the staffing industry.
- Strong network of clients and industry connections.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent knowledge of the staffing industry, including recruitment processes and market dynamics.
- Outstanding leadership, team-building, and people management skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business development and operational excellence.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions, solve complex problems, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
