Senior .NET Developer
Location: Houston, TX or Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Engagement Type: Contract (6 months)
Schedule: Hybrid – Onsite Tuesday–Thursday
Travel: Up to 10%, reimbursed
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to support a critical enterprise application during a planned team coverage period. This role is best suited for an experienced backend-leaning developer who can ramp up quickly, work independently, and contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate has deep experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale applications using modern .NET technologies, cloud platforms, and Angular-based front ends.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using modern .NET (.NET 8 and newer)
Build and support web applications using Angular and modern front-end frameworks
Develop cloud-native applications and services within AWS environments
Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery model
Ensure applications meet performance, security, and scalability requirements
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices
Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to peers
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application issues
Support application enhancements, maintenance, and defect remediation
Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and modernization of systems
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in enterprise software development
Strong expertise with:
.NET (.NET 8 and newer)
C#
Angular
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
Proficiency with source control systems such as Git
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with microservices architecture
AWS Lambda or other serverless technologies
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and responsive design principles
Experience working on large-scale or mission-critical systems
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
or equivalent professional experience
Work Environment
Hybrid work model with three days onsite per week
Location preference for Houston, with Chicago considered
Occasional travel may be required (approximately 10%)
