Support Engineer – DDI Operations (Infoblox/DNS/DHCP) (Remote or Hybrid – $45/hour)
Project Overview
We are seeking a Support Engineer – DDI Operations to provide operational support for DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) within enterprise environments. This is a backfill role supporting core network infrastructure operations rather than a project-based assignment. The ideal candidate has proven Infoblox experience and a solid understanding of DNS and DHCP management in complex, multi-datacenter environments.
This role offers a hands-on opportunity to manage and optimize DNS and IPAM infrastructure while working with a collaborative team supporting large-scale systems.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain DNS/IPAM operations using Infoblox as the enterprise solution.
Create and maintain DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, DKIM, and SPF).
Manage IPAM data across multiple data centers and subnets, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Troubleshoot DNS issues impacting developers and application support teams.
Perform IP reclamation, subnet deletions, and data cleanup within the Infoblox platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational changes and incident resolution.
Follow ITIL Change Management and incident processes; manage tasks via ServiceNow (SNOW).
Participate in on-call rotation, providing after-hours support for changes and priority outages.
Maintain documentation and update system records as part of ongoing operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Infoblox in DNS/IPAM environments.
Proficiency in DNS and DHCP configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Experience managing large-scale subnet and IP assignments in enterprise networks.
Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
Understanding of ITIL service management and change control processes.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Comfortable working in on-call support environments and responding to critical incidents.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
Active Directory experience (nice to have).
Experience with Infoblox Network Insight or similar network discovery tools.
Prior experience in airline or large enterprise environments.
Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+) a plus.
Work Schedule & Details
Location: Remote (Hybrid preferred for candidates in Chicago or Houston).
Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote per week (flexible days).
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST.
On-Call Rotation:
Weekly rotation (Primary and Secondary).
Primary handles after-hours changes and outage response; secondary provides backup.
Travel: None.
Contract-to-Hire: Possible, pending client approval.

Hourly Rate: $45/hour (non-negotiable)
Employment Type: W-2
Length: 1-year contract with potential for extension based on performance
