Project Manager, Finance Transformation
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Project Manager to spearhead our Finance Transformation initiatives. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end execution of programs that align financial strategy with operational excellence. You will be the primary architect of our project portfolios, using Smartsheet to drive transparency, mitigate risks, and ensure our ROI and OKR targets are consistently met.
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between complex financial concepts and technical execution, possessing the executive presence to influence senior leadership and the tactical discipline to manage intricate project details.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Execution: Drive the full lifecycle of finance transformation programs, ensuring every milestone delivers measurable business value and aligns with long-term ROI.
- Portfolio Management: Utilize Smartsheet (including Control Center and advanced reporting) to manage project plans, track critical paths, and facilitate seamless cross-functional collaboration.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Technology, and Business units to define scope, resolve bottlenecks, and manage interdependencies.
- Governance & Reporting: Establish robust project governance; author and present comprehensive performance reports to project teams and executive leadership.
- Process Optimization: Conduct detailed system mapping and analysis to enhance existing workflows; support Proof of Concept (POC) and soft-launch phases for new systems.
- Change Management: Lead the planning for communications and training to ensure smooth transitions and high adoption rates for new processes and procedures.
- Financial Integrity: Manage integrated budgets, resource requirements, and constraints to ensure projects remain on track and within scope.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years of proven success in Program and Portfolio Management, specifically within finance transformation and tech integration.
- Financial Acumen: Direct experience in mid-level Accounting or Finance roles with the ability to translate financial strategy into execution.
- Scale: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional programs with budgets exceeding $2M.
- Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Smartsheet and the Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with enterprise finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, or Anaplan).
- Leadership: Exceptional executive presence with the ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Communication: A clear, concise communicator who can distill complex technical or financial data into actionable insights.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Industry Experience: Prior experience with large-scale finance operations.
- Methodologies: PMP or PfMP certification; Green Belt / Lean Six Sigma; exposure to Agile environments.
- Tools: Experience with MS Teams and Visio.
Specialization: Background in Organizational Change Management (OCM) or Process Improvement.
