About the Role
A customer experience design organization is seeking a Senior UX Designer to support the broader Customer UX team across a variety of initiatives. While initial work may focus on Loyalty and Customer Engagement, this role will contribute across multiple Customer UX projects as needed.
This position is ideal for a highly experienced designer who combines deep craft expertise with strategic thinking, brings strong leadership presence, and can deliver high-quality, user-centered design solutions in complex enterprise environments.
Top Skills Required
Deep expertise in design principles, visual systems, and best practices including layout, typography, and color theory
Strong awareness of emerging UI trends, tools, and technologies with the ability to evaluate and apply new approaches
Extensive experience designing for web, mobile, and emerging platforms
Excellent communication skills and experience working in highly collaborative, cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
Airline or complex enterprise experience
Advanced degree in design, HCI, or a related field
Experience with design research methodologies and user testing
Familiarity with front-end technologies and development patterns across iOS, Android, and web platforms
Key Responsibilities
Design Strategy and Leadership
Drive design excellence and strategic vision across customer-facing experiences
Define and communicate design direction for complex, multi-platform initiatives
Balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints in design decisions
Team Mentorship and Collaboration
Mentor and support junior and mid-level designers to maintain high design standards
Lead design discussions with product, engineering, and senior stakeholders
Advocate for user-centered design decisions across cross-functional teams
Experience Design and Execution
Lead the design of complex, omnichannel customer journeys across platforms and touchpoints
Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions aligned with brand and experience standards
Ensure consistency and quality across designs and contributing design systems
Prototyping, Research, and Validation
Lead the creation of high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes
Partner with research teams to inform design decisions through user insights and testing
Refine designs iteratively based on feedback and validation results
Design Systems and Standards
Contribute to the evolution of design systems, interaction patterns, and governance
Establish scalable, maintainable design standards that enable consistency and craft excellence
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
6 or more years of professional UX or UI design experience with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
Portfolio demonstrating leadership on complex design projects, strong craft, and strategic impact
Advanced proficiency in digital design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
Expert-level experience applying accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives with product, engineering, and research partners
Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder influence skills
Ability to manage multiple complex projects with high attention to detail
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
