Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Content Strategist to support a large-scale corporate intranet content renovation. This role partners with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization to evaluate, restructure, and improve content so it better serves employee needs.
You will play a key role in transforming complex, business-driven content into clear, accessible, and user-centered experiences while helping establish scalable content standards and governance practices.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead content discovery sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Audit and assess content for accuracy, relevance, duplication, and overall value
- Recommend content actions including keep, update, rewrite, merge, archive, or delete
- Translate business requirements into clear, structured, employee-focused content
- Create content briefs, page outlines, and content hierarchy recommendations
- Write, edit, and restructure content to improve clarity, usability, and consistency
- Define and apply content standards for tone, structure, naming, and readability
- Support stakeholder review cycles and help resolve content decisions
- Identify gaps in content ownership and recommend governance improvements
- Partner with design and project teams on information architecture, navigation, and content flow
- Support prioritization and sequencing of content work across business units
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in content strategy, enterprise communications, UX writing, or a related field
- Proven experience auditing, organizing, and improving large volumes of digital content
- Strong writing, editing, and content structuring capabilities
- Ability to translate complex or fragmented information into clear, user-friendly content
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders across multiple business areas
- Understanding of user-centered content principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and plain-language best practices
- Ability to make strategic recommendations and challenge outdated or low-value content
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise intranets, portals, or large corporate websites
- Experience working within a CMS environment (e.g., Sitecore or similar)
- Familiarity with content governance, taxonomy, metadata, and information architecture
- Experience supporting content transformation, migration, or large-scale content initiatives
Compensation
- Starting pay: $65–$75/hour
