Role Overview
We are seeking a highly proactive Senior IT Project Manager to support multiple compliance and technology initiatives. This individual will lead complex, cross-functional projects, coordinate business and technical teams, manage deliverables, and ensure critical milestones are completed on schedule.
The ideal candidate is execution-focused and comfortable operating in ambiguous environments. This is not a passive project-tracking role; we need someone who consistently follows up, holds stakeholders accountable, removes roadblocks, and brings urgency and structure to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Cross-Functional Initiatives: Manage complex technology and compliance projects involving business teams, technical resources, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
Drive Project Execution: Build project plans, manage schedules and milestones, track action items, and actively push deliverables through completion.
Manage Risks and Issues: Identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks early, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues when appropriate.
Coordinate Stakeholders: Maintain alignment across business and technology teams while ensuring owners remain accountable for commitments and deadlines.
Provide Project Reporting: Create clear status reports covering progress, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and required leadership decisions.
Manage Technology Strategy: Support the planning and implementation of technology solutions aligned with organizational goals, operational requirements, and compliance expectations.
Oversee Resources and Financials: Coordinate project resources, manage timelines, support budget planning, analyze variances, and initiate corrective action when needed.
Maintain Governance and Controls: Help establish project standards, documentation, information-security controls, disaster-recovery practices, and quality expectations.
Target Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Enterprise Project Management: Strong experience leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from planning through implementation.
Execution and Accountability: Proven ability to actively drive work forward, manage action items, enforce commitments, and prevent deliverables from stalling.
Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and relationship-management skills across business, technical, vendor, and leadership teams.
Planning and Risk Management: Experience managing project plans, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, competing priorities, and status reporting.
Jira Proficiency: Hands-on experience using Jira or similar project-management tools to manage execution and reporting.
Technology Experience: Previous experience in the IT industry, including exposure to development teams, technology implementation, and customer or stakeholder interaction.
Executive Communication: Ability to present project status, recommendations, risks, and decision points clearly to senior leadership.
Education and Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. PMP certification is required.
