Job Title: Scrum Master
Location: Houston, TX (On-site/Hybrid)
Position Type: Contract (with potential for extension or full-time conversion)
Pay Rate: $70/hr +
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Scrum Master to lead and support 2 to 3 concurrent Scrum teams. In this role, you will champion the practices outlined in the 2020 Scrum Guide and leverage Scaled Agile methodologies to drive successful software delivery. This position requires close collaboration with offshore engineering teams, necessitating a flexible early schedule to ensure seamless communication and alignment across time zones.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Act as a servant-leader for 2 to 3 Scrum teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and self-organization.

Ceremony Facilitation: Plan and facilitate all Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives) in strict alignment with the 2020 Scrum Guide.

Global Coordination: Maintain a flexible daily schedule (6:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM) to overlap and collaborate effectively with offshore development teams.

Scaled Agile Execution: Apply Scaled Agile principles to ensure your teams’ objectives align with broader organizational goals and to actively manage cross-team dependencies.

SDLC Guidance: Navigate and guide the teams through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure timely and high-quality product increments.

Impediment Removal: Proactively identify, track, and remove blockers to optimize team velocity and sprint success.
Required Qualifications

Scrum Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of the 2020 Scrum Guide principles and their application in enterprise environments.

Scaled Agile: Proven experience operating and delivering within a Scaled Agile framework.

Technical Acumen: Strong foundational knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Schedule Flexibility: Must be able and willing to work early shifts (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM) to support global team structures.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Houston, TX.
Preferred Qualifications

Previous professional experience within the Airline industry is highly desired.
