Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager II with deep knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies to support enterprise technology initiatives within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will manage project plans, milestones, and governance updates while coordinating across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
This role requires strong project leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The candidate will play a key role in delivering technology-driven solutions that enhance operational performance and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, and governance reports, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
Lead Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and promote best practices across project teams.
Manage resource and capacity planning, ensuring optimal team utilization.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups including engineering, product, and business stakeholders to drive deliverables.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks while maintaining proactive communication with leadership.
Support funding requests, business cases, and project documentation to ensure clarity and accountability.
Track progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders through dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries.
Guide teams in aligning with Agile frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as a trusted project partner, fostering reliability and commitment to team success.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5–10 years of experience in Agile project management, technology consulting, or program management.
Proven experience leading cross-functional technology teams within Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong knowledge of Agile best practices, sprint execution, and resource management.
Demonstrated success in identifying and resolving complex issues using technology-based solutions.
Exceptional organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
PMP, CSM, or PMI-ACP certification preferred.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience building business cases, funding requests, and executive-level presentations.
Familiarity with training, scheduling, or workforce optimization systems.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
Work Schedule & Details
Location: Denver, CO – Hybrid (onsite once per week at local office/training center).
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (Mountain Time Zone).
Travel: Limited (5–10%); reimbursed when applicable.
Contract Details
Hourly Rate: $60/hour
Employment Type: W-2 or C2C
Length: Long-term contract (initial 12 months, with extension potential)
