IT Project Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead coordination efforts across multiple teams, establish best practices, and drive strategic initiatives. This role requires a strong leader who can navigate complex technical environments, manage competing priorities, and facilitate collaboration across various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and a demonstrated ability to manage high-level projects with multiple moving parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and align technical initiatives across multiple teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and consistency in application development and deployment.
- Establish project guidelines, principles, and best practices in the absence of a dedicated director.
- Drive the strategic planning, execution, and successful delivery of technical projects while balancing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
- Facilitate meetings, track project progress, and resolve roadblocks to ensure smooth implementation.
- Manage source code repositories, release builds, and code deployments, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to optimize workflows and integrate best-in-class DevOps practices.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with leadership and technical teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and priorities.
- Navigate and address pushback from different teams while maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management, with a strong background in SDLC.
- Proven ability to manage multiple teams and projects with complex technical interdependencies.
- Proficiency in GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and code deployment processes.
- Experience in DevOps practices and AWS infrastructure is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Location: Preferably based in Chicago, as in-person meetings may be required. A hybrid work model is ideal, though remote candidates with flexibility for occasional travel will be considered.
