Project Overview
We are seeking an IT Project Manager IV / Senior Program Manager to lead a large-scale enterprise migration from TIBCO to Solace. This role requires deep technical understanding of Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, and DevOps, combined with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will oversee program execution, manage cross-functional coordination, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Direct end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of the enterprise messaging platform migration.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with multiple application and infrastructure teams to manage and facilitate migration efforts.
Stakeholder Management: Communicate consistently with executive leadership, technical teams, and vendors to report progress, risks, and outcomes.
Progress Tracking: Monitor migration milestones, identify dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure schedule adherence.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline migration workflows and improve efficiency.
Risk Management: Anticipate potential issues and develop proactive contingency plans.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed program documentation and generate leadership dashboards using PowerBI or similar tools.
Team Collaboration: Foster cross-functional teamwork and alignment between technical and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP) preferred.
8+ years of progressive experience managing complex IT programs or enterprise technology initiatives.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to engage and influence executive leadership.
Demonstrated technical understanding of Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, and DevOps environments.
Expertise in Agile or SAFe Agile methodologies.
Proficient with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Clarity, and PowerBI.
Proven problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
Highly self-driven, resourceful, and adept at asking the right questions to move initiatives forward.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience leading large-scale technology migrations or platform decommissioning initiatives.
Familiarity with integration frameworks, SDLC management, and enterprise-level architecture design.
Strong ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build consensus across teams.
Demonstrated success managing vendor partnerships and offshore delivery teams.
Work Schedule & Details
Location: Remote (Chicago-based candidates preferred)
Schedule: Standard business hours, Central Time Zone
Onsite Expectations: Occasional travel to Chicago (approximately once per month)
Contract-to-Hire: No, but long-term extension possible based on project performance and future needs.
