Training Specialist – Hybrid (Chicago + Regional Travel)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Training Specialist to support the Global Learning Strategy team. This role focuses on training program development and coordination—not facilitation—and is ideal for candidates with a passion for creating engaging learning modules, managing logistics, and ensuring an exceptional learner experience. The right candidate will possess sharp attention to detail, strong follow-through, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with subject matter experts to design and maintain training modules in multiple formats (eLearning, instructor-led, etc.).
Coordinate and support training programs through scheduling, communications, and material preparation.
Manage logistics including room bookings, facility access, and training supplies.
Maintain accurate participant records and rosters.
Oversee catering coordination, including meal orders and clean-up.
Prepare training materials (printing, organizing, and distributing documents).
Communicate effectively with participants regarding schedules, locations, and preparation requirements.
Monitor and restock inventory of training supplies.
Create PowerPoint presentations to report on project status.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a training coordination, instructional design, or learning support role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
Experience using training module tools such as Rise and Articulate.
Strong organizational skills, timeliness, and ability to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
Background in airline operations or experience supporting learning programs in operational environments.
Strong communication and analytical abilities.
Familiarity with virtual learning delivery platforms.
Work Schedule & Location
Work Model: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite preferred
Travel: Chicago and regional hubs, up to 2 times per week
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (local time)
Contract Details
Employment Type: Contract
Rate Range: $30+ per hour
