Application Recovery Support Analyst – Midnight Shift (Onsite – Arlington, TX)
Bill Rate: $45/hour
Contract Length: 6 months (with strong possibility of extension)
Shift Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM CST
Work Model: 100% Onsite (no hybrid or remote option)

Position Overview
This critical support position within Digital Technology Command Centers provides 24/7 operational coverage through proactive application and infrastructure monitoring. As part of the Application Team, the analyst will manage application performance, monitor enterprise systems (on-prem and cloud), and provide first-response troubleshooting across digital platforms including website, mobile, and middleware. This is a hands-on technical role requiring swift response to incidents, robust troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 operational support for enterprise systems in Windows, UNIX/Linux (HPUX, AIX, Solaris, RedHat), Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V), and AWS Cloud environments
Monitor system health and application performance using tools like Dynatrace, Datadog, AppDynamics, BigPanda, SCOM, and LogicMonitor
Correlate alerts and events to identify issues and escalate incidents efficiently
Support business-critical environments for united.com, mobile channels, and backend middleware systems
Collaborate with support teams across DevOps, Server Ops, Middleware, Database, and Digital Operations Center
Follow and enforce ITIL-aligned processes (Change, Incident, and Problem Management)
Maintain enterprise standards for security and operational consistency
Document incidents, outages, and fixes, contributing to long-term problem management and service improvement
Assist in automation efforts using Shell/Python scripting for alert remediation
Maintain high situational awareness and judgment in prioritizing and escalating incidents
Required Skills & Qualifications
1–2 years in a technical operations or support role
Hands-on experience in System Administration (Linux and Windows)
“Eyes-on-glass” monitoring experience in a NOC/SOC/IT Ops environment
Dynatrace experience is a significant plus
Familiarity with AWS infrastructure monitoring
Strong understanding of middleware technologies (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, DataPower)
Proficiency in enterprise monitoring tools and ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)
Knowledge of virtualization, backup, storage, and database monitoring
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
ITIL foundation knowledge and comfort with fast-paced, high-availability environments

Primary Shift: Wednesday 11:00 PM – Monday 7:30 AM (5 consecutive overnight shifts)
